Lake Okaboji Here We Come!

We hit the road for our BIG family vacation on the 21st and returned yesterday afternoon. No one was missing from the family - all 16 of us in one place at one time. It was both exciting and exhausting! We filled the week with games, swimming, jet skiing, chatting, sleeping, and lots of eating.
Charlie slept until 9:45 this morning so he must have been wore out from his cousins. He did his best to keep up with busy-body Mak and chatter-box Izzy. At times, we would find him under the highchair or behind the couch to get away for a minute. I think his favorite part of the trip was eating sand on the beach and driving the boat with Uncle Gabe.We are more than grateful for this vacation and the well-needed family time. It was great for Tim to get to spend so much time with Charlie. This was also Tim's first time meeting Sophie and Kyra, which gave him the "baby fever" a little.

"Happy Just Because I Love You Day!"

The day before we left for vacation, Charlie was in rare form. I was trying to pack, bake, and play all at the same time. Needless to say, when Tim came home from work I was ready for a break. I left to get a pedicure and when I returned, I was instantly smiling at what I saw...

MY POOR BABY

Because the doctors weren't sure what exactly Charlie reacted to the day we went to the ER with hives, we decided to "test" at home. I made sure we had the Benadryl handy and gave him 3 bites of scrambled egg. Within 2 1/2 hrs, Charlie was itching and uncomfortable. I had to put socks over his hands to keep him from scratching his face and ears. I gave him the medicine right when I saw the spots on his face, so luckily it didn't spread to the rest of his body. Check out my very sad, itchy, but lovable baby.

"What's happening to me Momma?"

"Oh great! I'm allergic to eggs!"

One Generation in Spirit

On Sunday, we had our Father's Day celebration at Tim's grandparents house in South St. Paul. We had a house full of crazy, singing, lovable Olsons!
