Mak Attack Comes to St. Peter!

Mak's 1st trip to Minnesota

After our trip to Sioux Falls, Malaki came to stay with Charlie for a few days with Grandpa and Grandma. We had a great time playing, pulling hair, tickling toes, and NOT sleeping! I think the boys were so excited to have a play mate that they didn't want to give in and sleep.
Grandma was definitely ready to sleep for a few days after the weekend's events but never took the smile off her face for her boys. And Gramps couldn't decide who to play with b/c both of the boys were starving for his attention.
Malaki couldn't figure out why Charlie is SO loud when he eats and why he likes veggies. Charlie was wondering if there were jumping beans in Mak's pants b/c he couldn't sit still. Two peas in a pod (missing the third lil pea - Izzy)!

You're TOO heavy Mak - Get off!

And the race is on!

We Love You!

Helen Maxine Wyant Scott
As many of you know, Grandma Helen passed away last week....
She was a wonderful person full of wisdom and love. We will continue telling stories of our sleepovers, vacations, and games with Grandma. She will be missed by many.
We also wanted to say Thank You to many Haggar family members that showed their support for my mom and our family, as well as Olsons. It makes it easier to get through these types of life events when you are surrounded by people that love you.

Wrestling With Pilsener

Charlie had his 9 month check-up with the doctor today. He is as healthy as an ox, except for the cold he currently has. This is the first time he has ever been sick so we feel blessed for that. He is weighing in at 18 lbs and 12 oz, 28 inches long. SO, for now he will stay in his infant car seat watching the road pass him by.

We took some pictures of Dad, Charlie, and Pilsener wrestling and watching the superbowl a couple wkds ago. Charlie was still rooting for the Vikes - we didn't have the heart to tell him they didn't make it. And I swear this was the only time we have ever let Charlie tackle the dog! Pils didn't mind b/c Charlie wasn't pulling on his beard for once.

Charlie's new favorite things to do are waving to himself, clapping, saying dada, yayayaya, and of course mama. He gets very frustrated when mom and dad are having a conversation without him. He loves to walk up and down the hallway with help. Charlie is actually using the same method of movement that his father used - scooting on him rearend with one leg stuck underneath him. This brings back alot of memories for Charlie's Nama.

"Go Vikes!"

"Why do I get yelled at everytime I do this to Charlie?"

"Get off my back MAN!"

"Uncles" Wade and Neil Come To Town!

Our great friends from Rapid City came out for the weekend to hit Bock Fest with us in New Ulm. We are so blessed to have such loyal, lifelong friends like Wade and Neil. Tim met them in college and they become friends, roommates, and "brothers". They are just as much my friends as Tim's and now uncles of Charlie's.

It was a great time, reminicing college stories, drinking their favorite beer with Tim, and playing with Charlie and Pilsener. Wade - Pilsener has been watching the door to see if you're coming back inside :( (it's pretty sad really).

Aunts Emily and Heather, Uncle JP, and Tim's childhood buddy Tate and G/F Jess came with us to Bock Fest. Nama stayed home with Karlie, Claire, and Charlie while we were gone. Luckily we came home to a happy bunch! I think Nama was ready for a nap :)

Swimming Lessons

Charlie has officially started his swimming and music classes. He is definitely enjoying the swimming and still feeling things out in the music class. It is a good opportunity for him to be with other kids and Mom to have an adult conversation. Here are some pics of Charlie and Dad at his latest swimming lesson.
