15 Weeks and Counting

On Sunday we hit the 15 week mark and had a great doctor's appointment a week ago. I was able to see the babies again and hear their heartbeats (music to my ears). The doc said they couldn't look better and things are going great. My next appointment is May 22 and then they will schedule my 3-D ultrasound in the Twin Cities. I promised a few cousins prego belly pics so here's the first at 15 weeks. The picture below it is how fraternal twin look at 16 weeks. CRAZY - still can't believe there's two!

Sorry this is such a sad looking picture - Tim took it really late one night

The Next Michael Phelps! Without the Bong :0

Charlie went to his last swimming lesson tonight and loved every minute of it except the life jacket exercise. He is a natural in the water and loves to make new friends where ever he goes. His old friend, Kraten from music class last year and ECFE this year, was in his swimming class and they had to swim together too.

THANKS AUNTIE TINA!

Charlie and I got a very nice surprise today after lunch. My sister Christina sent Charlie and I balloons and flowers today. She was getting the ball rolling for Charlie's birthday and cheering me up with some beautiful spring flowers.

Thanks Tina! You always know how to make my day, even if you are 8 hours away. Maybe someday we will be closer again, BUT I know you are all there for me yesterday, today, and tomorrow too. I Love You! You made Charlie's day for the next month.

"Oh My Goodness" That is all Charlie could say

His favorite, Thomas the Train

Thanks Tina. I'm still working on Momma to name one of the babies afer you. Love you

Where Did Charlie Go?!

Well Tim and I got sick of paying $20 for Charlie to get half of a haircut. We finally decided to buy clippers and do it ourselves. As I have expressed to some of you, I hate it! It is way too short and doesn't look like my Charlie anymore. The funny thing is that I saw my brother Gabe in him immediately after the haircut. Everyone tells me that they look alike but it was hard for me to see until now.

"Can we talk about this some more before you do it Daddy?"

Two is Better Than One, Three is Better Than Two!

On February 12th, Charlie and I told Tim that we are expecting a lil one. We kept it to ourselves until after the doctor's appointment to make sure everything was going in the "right" direction. On March 18th, the doctor wanted me to go in for an ultrasound to ease my mind before the appointment. Tim and I went by ourselves w/o Charlie because we didn't know what kind of news we were going to get. When they put the wand on my belly, we saw 2 babies!!!!! Both with extremely strong heartbeats!

After I found out I was pregnant, I had 3 dreams about having twins. Tim told me there was no way. Then my mom called me from their vacation and said "I just had a dream that you're pregnant and it's twins!" I couldn't believe it (I always knew my mom and I had a "special" connection).

We told Tim's family at the last birthday party. I told my mom while she was here, on her way to Mexico. I was able to tell my dad and Grandpa while we were at the hospital. The rest of my family found out Easter weekend.

I am in my 13th week and see the doctor again in a week and a half. We are due October 18th (the day before my dad's b-day). We are more than likely going to have them the end of September or beginning of October. Maternity clothes came out a lot sooner this time around. I had cousins requesting tummy pictures so you might just get them in the future.

This is how I told my dad. It is two onesies I had printed for him. He was a little unsure what exactly it meant.

This t-shirt was given to Charlie from his cousins Izzy and Sophie!

Thanks girls - it means alot that you took time to make him something special

We Love You Grandpa Ed!

Grandpa Ed will be in our hearts forever. He was a father of 6, grandfather of 17, and great-grandfather of 13 (a few are on the way)! He lived a great life and worked up until he entered the hospital. Tim, Charlie, my dad, and I were fortunate to make it to Sioux Falls the weekend of Palm Sunday to see him and give him our love. Charlie will always have special memories with Grandpa Ed and their love for trains.

We Love You Grandpa!

Uncle Gabe and Charlie headed to the funeral. We knew the two of them looked alike but didn't realize how much until we say a picture of Gabe at Charlie's age in Grandpa's arms. Unbelieveable!

Good Ol' Fashion Haggar Fun

We celebrated Easter the same night as Sophie's birthday party b/c the whole family was driving to Sioux Falls the next morning. The kiddos definitely enjoyed the festivities and Uncle Tim (H) made sure there was NO candy in the eggs! Haha - my brother "the sweet tooth"!

All the troubles in the world go away when I'm with my best friends aka family! I LOVE ALL OF YOU MORE THAN WORDS CAN DESCRIBE!

Happy Almost 1st Birthday Sophia!!

Since we were home for Easter we decided to celebrate Sophie's 1st birthday a few weeks early. It was a surprise party (her mom and dad didn't know about it at all!) that couldn't have gone better. She loved being the first to dig into her cupcake and enjoyed the paper on her presents. It was a great way to put a smile on everyone's face. WE LOVE YOU SOPHIE - CAN'T WAIT FOR #2!

"This is all for me? I'm speechless!"

She got to sit on top of the pool table to open her presents while the tots searched for eggs.

The boys helped me make a caterpillar cake for Sophie that morning. I promise they washed their hands.

She ate her cupcake like a lil lady AT FIRST. Then it was in her nose etc. :)

"Bring on another cupcake Aunt Mel!"

This was Izzy's 2nd cupcake b/c she fed the first one to the dogs.

"What can I say? The frosting is the only part worth eating!"

"Ok here I go!"

Kyra even dug into her cupcake so I will have to do something different for her birthday. She eats like her Dad
