A Wonderful Way to Celebrate a Life

Son, Brother, Husband, Father, and Friend

Jon Roland Olson

Monday was the annual golf tournament to remember and celebrate the life of Tim's father and Charlie's Papa Jon. It was Charlie's second year attending and had much more fun this time around. Auntie Heather is always entertaining, as well as his cousins Karlie and Claire.

Tim has the same foursome every year since the beginning, except his good buddy Ben was unable to make it. Fortunately Andy's brother (another Ben) stepped in to complete the team. They had a great time and placed third in the tournament. Tim says one day he will be playing with Charlie on his team, but I think it will have to be okayed by "Uncles" Chuck and Tate.

I didn't play this year b/c I was unsure how Charlie would do but he was just fine. We will get our team back together next year (Tim's mom Linda, Chuck's wife Sheena, myself, and hopefully Tate's g/f Jess). It is always a blast and a great way to get friends and family back together for a day.

Papa & Nana to the Rescue

Papa and Nana Haggar came out for a week to spend time with Charlie and help me get the house ready for other lil ones. We had a great time shopping, playing, reading books, and going for walks.
I couldn't have accomplished as much without them here. Auden was especially fond of Charlie's Nana, giving her tons of smiles and coos. Charlie wouldn't let Papa out of his sight, even to take a shower! The day they left, Charlie and I saw them off in the driveway where Charlie cried and chased after the car. I can't say that I didn't cry as well. It's always a sad day when my parents leave.
We love you two very much and appreciate you more than you will ever know!!

Mom & Charlie Day

We didn't have baby Auden yesterday so Charlie and I took advantage of the free time. We went to the park before lunch, which was completely empty (extremely nice!). After I was done tutoring, we met our friends Kari and Mitchel at the pool. Then it was off to Dino's for dinner with Dad before I had my meeting. The waitress gave Charlie a ball of pizza dough to play with which he loved. Hope everyone's summer is going as well as ours!

A Day @ the ZOO

Friday was our monthly playdate with cousins and Nama. We decided to go to the MN Zoo in the afternoon for exploration and ice cream! Charlie really enjoyed himself this time around - pointing at everything, around every corner. It is great to see him bond with his cousins, aunties, and Nama.

Charlie's New Tricks

Our baby is now a little boy! Everyday he amazes us with something else he has picked up from Tim, Luxie, or myself. Some of his new favorite things to do are: burb the baby (Auden), bring me his shoes to go outside, throw his ball for Pilsener, tickle Auden's toes, and CHAT. We figured out that he has about 10 words in his vocabulary right now and uses them frequently (Mom, Dad, Papa, Nana, out, up, dog, ball, NO, don't). We are definitely working on "yes mommy".
