Rest, Relaxation, and SNOWSHOES!

Tim and I were finally able to escape and have a "second honeymoon". It was my Christmas present from Tim to stay at the Grand Superior Resort in Castle Danger, MN. It was absolutely amazing and exactly what the doctor ordered. We had wonderful meals, much needed naps, and tons of snowshoeing. We were right next to the Gooseberry Park and enjoyed the outdoors Friday and Saturday. They got about 14 inches of snow while we were there - absolutely beautiful. We also visited the Split Rock Lighthouse and walked through the museum.
We can't wait to go back again - fall, winter, spring, or summer!
Tim and I want to thank NAMA very much for spending the weekend with the boys so we could get away. They had a wonderful time with her and were able to play with cousins on Saturday. We were very happy to see them and get those giant hugs again.
Thanks to my thoughtful husband for the trip, for reconnecting with me, and for showing me a new sport! I absolutely loved every minute of it!

FYI - the last picture is our bartender at the ICE BAR at our resort. The shot glasses were made from ice, as well as the benches, bar, and tables. AWESOME!!
