Week #50 reflection

(a view of my parents' house from the top of the hill)
This is my home and will always be home for me.  On the 23rd of December Charlie comes up to me and says "mama when are we going to get to Papa and Grandma's house?"  I told him we decided on the 26th and he says "but that is after Christmas!"  Then he walked out of the room, obviously upset with me.  That night Tim and I talked, packed our bags, and got the boys in the car Christmas Eve to make the long haul to the hills.
This has become a home away from home for my kids.  It is where we have spent most of our Christmas mornings so it didn't surprise me that Charlie was disappointed.
I hope to continue to make lots of memories here with my children, husband, nieces, nephews, siblings, and parents!

Week #49 Traditions

CHRISTMAS VACATION with the Grizwalds
We watch this every year on Christmas afternoon.  Never loses its humor!

Week #48 Mealtime

Only Zak can look this cute while pizza is hanging out of his mouth.  LOL  Mealtime is always entertaining while eating with this guy.

Week #47 Mystery

Who is going to win????

The Rush always win when we are home!

Week #46 Sudden

We caught one of Auntie Mary's sneezes.  The colds are going around...aaaaaachoooooo!

Week #45 Familiar

My childhood church and where I married my amazing husband.
We have not been back to Emmanuel for 5 years now.  My parents started going to a different church due to changes that were made.  This weekend we went back and I was home...  I have so many memories here and it is where Tim and I started our lives together.  It will always have a special place in my heart.

Christmas with the Minnesota Siblings

Yesterday/this morning we celebrated Christmas and birthdays, Heather and Karlie's.  We had a blast, however, I didn't get any pictures with the whole family.  Totally bummed because they are so important to me.  This is what I did get and I apologize that Ben and Heather aren't in pics.  They had to leave last night to get home to Carlos (their furry baby).  Beautiful snow this morning that we couldn't resist playing in.
Thank you so much for spending the evening/morning with us.  We loved every minute and appreciate the generous gifts!  Merry Christmas!!

Uncle JP tucked everyone in for the night.

Good Morning Birthday Girl!  Karlie turned 9 today.  We had delicious monkey bread JP made for us and talked about what we were doing the day she was born!  I was having surgery and Tim, Heather, and Nama were driving back and forth from Hutchinson.

Time for the snow!

Claire and Linc making angels

Time to climb some trees

We love our new backyard!

Karlie and Charlie could be brother and sister!  That nose and the squinty eye smile from Papa Jon.

Uncle Tim rounding up the kids to go home.  Claire didn't want to go.

Cooper and Pilsener had a great time together.  They missed Carlos though.
