58 years of love AND still counting

Charlie's great grandparents, Millie and Rol Olson, celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on Saturday (actual date is 11-18). The whole family was present including Charlie's aunt Mary. I am so fortunate to be apart of their family, to witness such love and passion from two people. They are half of the reason why Tim and I chose to get married on November 19th (my grandmother Arlene's birthday).

TO THE NEXT 58 YEARS!

MARY TO THE RESCUE!!

There is nothing better than a sister (especially MY sisters) to cheer a girl up! Last week Tina, Mary, and my mom called to tell me that they were sending me a package on Friday night. This "package" just happened to be Mary! I have been feeling pretty down lately, missing my partners in crime and obviously they picked up on the cry for help. I can't thank you three enough for "hearing" me and responding. I couldn't ask for a better support system - just hate that you are so far away. Thanks again for a great weekend.

Who better than your sister to make you feel like a kid again

"Tickle, tickle" Charlie called Mary "Mak" all weekend which she thought was pretty funny.

It makes sense since they look so much alike!

Family is EVERYTHING!

I just wanted to say how much I am missing my sidekicks! There are days where I sit and think about what you are all doing and wish I was doing the same. I miss our shopping trips, movies, stupid stories that everyone has heard a 1000 times, comparing baby tales, but most of all your company. I cannot wait until Thanksgiving to see you all. Hope you haven't forgotten the sibling that moved to MN. Love you all!!

Great Papa Rol and Grma Millie Day

On Saturday we went to S. St. Paul to visit Charlie's Great Papa and Grandma. He had a great time playing with beanie babies, eating snacks with Grandma Millie, playing the piano with Daddy, and chatting with Papa Rol (which he says!!). Grandma was trying to get Charlie to jump on her bed but he knew better. Instead they climbed the stairs and practiced counting, Charlie's new talent.

"Feel the beat Dad"

Charlie says: "1, 2, Now I know, I know, I know"

"Chillin' with my Papa Rol"

"Chicka Boom Boom" aka "Trick or Treat"

Halloween day started with Charlie's friend Auden coming over for pictures. She surprised us all as a COW. Then that night our friends Scott, Jamie, Emma, and Grant came over to go trick or treating. I was working with Charlie all week to say "Trick or Treat" and I got "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom". Those of you that don't know, it is a great ABC's book that is obviously catchy. After about two houses, Charlie understood that you walk up to a house, someone comes out and you put your hand in their candy dish. Hopefully he doesn't develop a habit! We can't wait for next year - just wish he could go with his cousins Mak and Izzy (looks like they had a great time).

"Lets do it again tomorrow Mom!"

Our ECFE Family

Charlie's Halloween started on Thursday night at ECFE. All the tots wore their costumes, investigated pumpkin "guts", made a jack-o-latern, and did what they do best, PLAY. It was pretty funny to watch the kiddos check each other out, trying to see who was who.

"Mom's got a DINO Dad!"

"My friend Macy and I cookin' in the kitchen"

Who is enjoying the toy more, Char or Dad?

Time for our songs and stories

ALL ABOARD CHARLES T.'S TRAIN

Charlie's Papa and Grandma left yesterday after a great week of trains, trucks, cookies, and tons of hugs and kisses. Each day Charlie got to do something special with Papa and Grandma - go to the train store, count the trucks from Waldos, play in the play center at the mall, and go for walks. Unfortunately I wasn't able to join them as much as I wanted, b/c of the two babies that I care for. BUT it was awesome for Charlie to get the one-on-one time with his grandparents. Every morning Charlie would wake up and yell "Papa" from his crib. He talked their ears off and made them recognize EVERY semi that drove down main street in St. Peter.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOYS!

Dad got new shoes and a hat and Tim got his much needed new kitchen knives and $$
