More celebration with Papa and Gran

Papa and Grandma got here on the 10th to help Charlie celebrate his birthday, accompany him to the Theresa House, and spend Mother's Day together.  We had such a great time hiking, swimming, eating lots of desserts, and playing outside.  We appreciate our time together and your effort to visit frequently!  We love you!

Charlie's favorite place to eat with his grandparents - DINOS!
They put the biggest sparkler in his dessert and the whole restaurant sang to him which made his day.

Time to add the toppings

I think Max's bowl had more toppings than ice cream

Lovin' on Grandma

Charlie's aunts and uncle sent his presents with Papa and Grandma.  Thank you!

Hiking with Uncle Terry

Charlie found a walking stick so he could walk like the "old guys"

Brothers and Friends

Charlie got across the bank of water by hopping on the rocks.

"High Five Papa!  I did it!"

Happy Birthday to Uncle Terry and Charlie!

and more dessert!

Open swim at the high school.  We were lucky to have the whole pool to ourselves

The weekend wouldn't be complete without a painting project with Grandma

Saying their goodbyes.  At least there were no tears this time...

Cinco de Mayo with the Olsons

May 5th was a great day to celebrate Charlie's birthday with the Olson family and drink some margaritas!  Thanks for a wonderful time Jerins and Whittingtons!  We appreciate you helping us make Charlie feel special.

Charles Timothy - 6 years old?!

May 7th rolled around too fast this year and that means Charlie turned 6 in a blink of an eye!  He makes us so proud everyday with his enormous heart and his consideration for others.  To give you an example, when we were planning his birthday party for friends, he insisted that his buddy Luke participate in everything.  (Luke has food allergies)  He is such an amazing son and we are so blessed that he is apart of our lives!

Having fun with his brothers/best friends

These two found confidence in each other to climb to the top of the spider web

Opening presents

Charlie's night out with his buddies.  He insisted on having his 3 buddies and Daddy to himself (no girls).

Something that Tim and I talked about afterwards is that you really learn alot about your own child when you get to know the friends they choose.  Great group of boys

This 6 year old gave his 6th donation to the Theresa House in Mankato with the help of some wonderful people: Papa and Grandma, Aunt Heather and Uncle Ben, 2nd cousin James and Julie, and friends Heather, Aaron, Luke and Jake.
This was by far the biggest drop off Charlie has done.  The receptionist said "We have been waiting for you Charlie!"  He was happy to be remembered :)
This year he was able to fill out the form all by himself.
Our cup runneth over Charlie!  You have filled our hearts with so much joy!  Thank you!

Our Auden turns 5!

Auden has been apart of our lives for 5 years now!  We were so excited to help her celebrate her 5th birthday at her new house.  She will forever have a spot in our hearts and our prayers.  She was Charlie's 1st friend and the little girl I needed in my every day life.  Wherever we are, we will always keep Auden close to us.

The boys enjoyed a huge lunch and amazing birthday cake with Auden

Time for summer clothes!

Week #18 "NOISE"

Can you hear them?!  I still can!  The boys jumping with their neighbor friends.

Week #17 "to sleep or not to sleep"

Something I really miss as a mom is when those lil boys are so exhausted that they fall asleep in my arms.  Sweet memories of cuddling those beautiful boys will never leave my heart.

Week #16 "RELAX"

1st thing I think about when the word "relax" comes to mind is reading a good book outside with a cool breeze.
The author I am stuck on these days is a MN native, named William Kent Krugger.  They are page turners which isn't always a good thing.  I can't put it down!
